San Diego on my Mind…

Maybe it’s because it’s unseasonably warm and sunny in Portland today or maybe it’s because I’ll be visiting in only a couple short weeks…  No matter the reason, I have San Diego on the brain today.  These photos from a walk through one of my favorite San Diego neighborhoods last June showcase a few of my favorite places.  Enjoy!

1. Chop Suey Peking Palace

2. Claire de Lune Coffee Lounge

3. The Office

4. El Take It Easy

5. Bar Pink

6. Caffe Calabria (If you like honey, try the Viennese… my fave!)

7. The Linkery

8. West Coast Tavern

9. Birch North Park Theatre

UK Photo Tour // Bath, England

I know I started blogging my photos from the United Kingdom awhile back and then promptly forgot to post the rest.  This morning, I cleaned out my feed reader and noticed my good friend Kjrsten Madsen, who just moved to London, posted her photos from a recent trip to Bath.  That got me thinking…. wouldn’t it be cool to see the same place, through two different photographers’ perspectives?  BOOM.

Here’s Kjrsten’s version.

Here’s mine.  (I’ve also thrown in a couple from the surrounding areas… Stonehenge!  Yay!)  Enjoy!

Travel Photography // London, England

April 2011, will forever go down in my memory as an amazing month.  While lots of good things happened, most notably, I spent two glorious weeks in the United Kingdom.  It was the trip of a lifetime.

The itinerary included London – Edinburgh – Inverness – Liverpool – Bath – London, before heading home to the States.  We traveled via plane, train, and automobile (logging over 700 miles on the poor rental car).  I tried as much local fare as possible and visited more than my fair share of pubs & taverns (hence all the bar shots… ).  I walked until my feet hurt and then walked some more.  As an additional challenge, I knew I would be moving around a lot and carrying all my gear, so I brought only one camera and less than 20 rolls of film.  It was truly an amazing time.

Happy Weekend!

The sun is brightly shining here in Portland, OR, which is definitely cause for celebration this holiday weekend.  However you decide to spend it, enjoy!
