Portland, OR Wedding Photographer // Tricia + Greg

Since the busy summer didn’t leave much time for blogging, I figured I’d start addressing the backlog now.  In the middle of winter.  Hopefully, these images from summer will help warm your frozen toes. :)

Tricia + Greg’s wedding was a warm, casual, DIY affair held just outside of Portland, Oregon.  Everything was hosted, crafted and cooked by friends and family.  It was so much fun to be a part of the festivities and witness some new traditions.  Plus, the food was out of this world!

Thank you so much for having me, Tricia & Greg.  Much love to you guys as you are starting your new lives together.  And many thanks to the amazing Helene Cornell for not only second shooting for me, but also being the best roadtrip buddy ever. :)

From a recent Portland Trip…  Enjoy your holiday!

San Diego Wedding Photographer // Kate Getting Ready

Before the wedding, I had a fun time documenting Kate getting ready…

More coming soon from this beautiful wedding…

San Diego Photographer // Beauty in the Abstract

While I don’t shoot much digital these days, this weekend turned out to be an exception to that rule.  I shot an amazing Bat Mitzvah for an equally amazing young woman and her family… an event that lasted the course of 2 days.  While I’m not sure that I will be showing the event images, I was playing with long exposures and took this image at the party that I immediately fell in love with:

Straight out of camera and so perfect.  I love the color, the light, the movement… everything about it.  The abstractness of it really intrigued me and spawned a mini-project for the rest of the evening…  Enjoy!

PS… please forgive my silence over the past couple weeks.  I have some big things coming up and blogging has taken a back seat for the time being.  I’ll try to remedy that soon. :)
